Product FAQs

Controls

What if my control does not regulate my side of the warming product?

If this occurs, first check that the controller cord is properly connected to the warming product module. Then confirm the power cord is securely connected to the wall outlet. Be certain to switch the controller to "On". Dual controllers frequently get switched and may be trying to operate the opposite side of the warming product. The controller with the service label is the primary control. The primary controller operates the right side of the bed when viewing the bed from the foot. If you have a remote controller, it will be labeled to indicate whether it operates the left or right side of the bed. Please refer to your user manual to confirm you have set this up correctly for your model as some models have slightly different requirements.

Where can I purchase replacement controllers?

Controllers are engineered as part of a complete system of the warming product and undergo extensive quality and safety testing. Please contact Sunbeam® Customer Service for information on how to purchase replacement controls.

How do dual controllers work?

The dual controllers operate independently of one another, providing convenience for the selecting personalized heat settings. The product design uses a heating element arranged in two circuits and each is controlled separately. If your dual controller models include the 10-hour auto shut-off feature, this function will work independently for each controller as well.

What does "FF" mean on the display of my controller?

If you have a digital controller, it is designed to flash "FF" on the display to notify you that a problem may have occurred. Gradient controllers and warming throw controllers use a blinking indicator light for this purpose. Follow the instructions on the flag tag to reset the control or follow these steps: First, unplug the system from wall outlet. Then check that the controller is well connected to the module. Plug the power cord into the wall outlet. Set the controller to "on". If the system still does not operate, disconnect the power cord and contact Sunbeam® Customer Service.
