Rated 1 out of 5 by from The Dreaded Flashing Red Light When I first bought this heating pad it was great - UNTIL - I got the same flashing red light that is mentioned so frequently on here. I have tried troubleshooting - I unplug and plug it back in, when I do that I am lucky if it even heats up for 5 minutes before the red flashing light comes on. So - unless I want to continually sit at the plug in and unplug/plug it back it - this thing has been rendered useless. As someone who gets bad cramps and has some joint pain due to a health condition, not having a functioning heat pad can mean the difference between an okay night of sleep, or little sleep at all. Extremely disappointed.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Fails quickly I purchased this heating pad less than a year ago. Shortly after, I started having problems with it turning off and the red light blinking. This is an ongoing problem, I try to use it and then it stops heating and blinks red. There are times now where it is off, not in use but plugged in, and it will start blinking red. Each time it has to be unplugged and plugged back in. When it works, itnis my favorite heating pad, nice coverage with the large size, no bulky wires, and the temperature range is great. However, having to constantly get up and unplug it and plug it back in makes it useless.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Temporary Disappointed because I received this heating pad as a present for Christmas last year and now it doesn't work at all. My cramps in my lower back are extremely severe and the heating pad was my go to. A couple of months ago, the top light would flash red and not heat up. I looked it up online and managed to fix the problem by unplugging the power adapter as well as the outlet. That worked for a while. However, now it only flashes red and doesn't heat up and when I do the reset thing it still doesn't work. Seems to work well for less than a year. Too expensive for such a short amount of time.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great heat, short product life. I've had this heating pad for about a year (bought late 2013) and a half, I bought this one because it was soft and similar in function to my previous heating pad (which was bought at the Bay in the late 60's... And finally stopped working 40+ years later). Unfortunately the heating pad started having a red blinking light in early 2015. Unplugging the pad from the cord seemed to fix this problem temporarily, but it kept coming back. Now it's just dead, no lights work, no heat is produced and it's been tried on multiple sockets. If you're willing to replace you heating pad every couple of years then this one is great. Unfortunately if you need it for chronic pain I wouldn't suggest this, as it seemed to quit at one of the worst possible times.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not Worth the Money! Great plush, LED control but life of pad isn't even a year! Why have a 5 year warranty on a product which doesn't even last one year? Purchased online from this site I believe. Bought a replacement at Walmart for $34.99. The replacement has a crinkling plastic sound which was not on the old one. Also it doesn't stay hot very long. When a product is so poorly rated (huge percentage give it 1-star) you would think the manufacturer would do something about this!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst product ever! In the past three years, I have had to purchase 4 of these heating pads. They don't last more than 6-months! I just bought a new one tonight & when I brought it home, it was already defective! The store near me that sells heating pads only sells the Sunbeam ones so so I don't have a choice but to keep buying these & they always disappoint. When they work, they're great, but they don't work for long! I need heat on my back to be able to walk & until the store opens tomorrow I have nothing.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very Disappointed I bought this two months ago because it seemed similar to my old heating pad that used very often for at least five before it died, it was also Sunbeam. However this heating pad doesn't seem to get as warm. It will be very warm for about ten minutes and then noticeably cool down. Now just two months later there is a blinking red light and it doesn't work at all. I use my heating pad every day because of chronic back pain.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from FLASHING RED LIGHT Didn't even have it for a full year and the RED FLASHING LIGHT is happening. Guess we should've checked out the Sunbeam site before we purchased. We've had a Sunbeam heating pad in the past that last many many years guess things are not made like they use to be. :-(
