Rated 1 out of 5 by unhappy from Bad choice This is the worst purchase I've ever made. They make it sound like the permanent coffee filter is included, it's not. They tell you it is a #4 cone filter, but fail to tell you the permanant filters don't fit (because of the wierd shape oval not cone)has to be paper ones. The water resevoir had the worst odor which made the coffee taste bad. Tried running the vinagar and water through it, didn't change. You sure don't look forward to that first morning coffee. After less then 1 week it was taking approx. 20 minutes to make a pot of coffee. The pause and serve worked when it wanted to, not always.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jason from Great coffeemaker I have had this coffeemaker for 3 years and it produces great coffee. The temperature is right, it's simple to use, simple to clean and looks great in my kitchen. The only gripe I had was every once in a while, the coffee filter collapses. I have solved that issue by buying a #4 permanent coffee filter . Ever since installing that in my coffeemaker as well as using a #4 paper coffee filter with it, the coffee filter doesn't collapse anymore.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Joebaba from Here's where to find the manual I love this machine - works as advertised. For those looking for the manual - this is the same machine as the Oster BVST-JBX series. Sunbeam and Oster seem to be sister companies - they are both part of the Jarden group of companies. Google search for Oster BVST-JBX and you'll find a few sites with the manual available for download.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Marlene from Coffee filter Just curious about that coffee filter this is shown to be included with the coffee maker. Might be good to delete that off the packaging. Looking forward to using this product.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Cherry from Don't be fooled! My husband purchased this coffee pot for us and he was so excited since it came with a reusable filter - it actually doesn't but the box made it seem as though it did. So day 1 = no coffee until we made yet another trip to the store to get one. First few pots were good, no issues so we threw away the receipt low and behold within 2 weeks it's leaking, gurgling, huffing and puffing each time it brews. Guests comment on who is being steamed to death in the kitchen due to the noises it makes. Not cool Sunbeam. I will say the ONLY reason I put up with this coffee pot is because it pours like a dream. Seriously, you have finally gotten it right with the shape of this pot, it pours beautifully. So if you can ignore the misleading packaging, leaking, huffing, puffing, screeching sound it makes and the steam it emits while doing so you'll have a machine that pours like a dream. The choice is yours.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Captain Coffee from Misleading no filter included - pic shows one!! 3 years later - Sunbeam still hasn't addressed the issue, I opened my machine today, was very disappointed, went to the Sunbeam site to find info on what filter and read SEVERAL reviews all stating the same thing from years gone by, apparently no one from Sunbeam reads these reviews or is addressing any of the concerns. It is a very simple resolution, include a reusable filter!! Provide 5 paper ones to get people started out of the box A new machine and no easy way to make coffee, very disappointed......will be returning for sure!! No photo required as no filter to take pic of!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by sdwway from Good-looking coffee This coffee maker does look good; it is sturdy and seems better made than most in its price range. Coffee comes out at a reasonable speed and heat-- if it were any hotter and faster it would taste watery. The bold setting also slows it a bit, but that's optional. I haven't had "foldover" coffee once since we bought it, unlike my last three coffee makers. I would give it five stars for taste and looks, but knocked off a star because the programming isn't very intuitive.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Shelby from The Blue Light Will Drive You Crazy Cons: The blue display light that cannot be turned off is SO BRIGHT! We have to unplug it every night or it disrupts our sleep! Would also be nice to have a 'keep warm' setting. Pros: It's a coffee maker. It makes coffee.
