Rated 1 out of 5 by Cecilia from Mildew problem I bought this 2 months ago for my dauhjters room. 1. Its noisy, but I can live with that. It provides a good white noise that covers most other house noise. 2. It doesn't really disperse any moisture. Sure I have to refill it every few days but it just seems to rotate, barely anything comes out. 3. Its started to grow some kind of mildewy gunk that looks like it belongs in a fish tank and has a smell to match. I can't take it apart to wash it off so its become a waste of my money. Won't be going with this brand anymore.

Rated 1 out of 5 by DanBott from Save your money This product is terrible. I know that this is a highly respected brand so I gave them a chance and boy was I disappointed. This humidifier is quieter than some, but is not whisper quiet. That's fine, I can live with that. What I can't live with is it doesn't actually DO anything. The motor runs, the impeller spins and a cool breeze comes from the spout but no moisture, no humidity, no vapor. The water level remains seemingly unchanged for days of operation which begs the question - why did I spend money on this thing?

Rated 1 out of 5 by Kikidahl from Don't waste your money This humidifier is a piece of garbage. The "whisper quiet technology" sounds like there is a plane engine in the room. Even my 4 year old commented that "this steamer is so loud mommy". And it does not produce any moisture as other reviews have also indicated. Just air blows out of it. I tried adding salt to the water based on a suggestion from sunbeam I had read and still no steam. Don't waste your money on this unit. Spend a bit more and buy the Vicks cool mist humidifier. This one is a piece of garbage and is getting returned.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Bob1 from Ok. Doesn't put a lot of water I've had units similar before. They would go thru their water in one night- which is a good thing. This unit, and I have 2 of them, takes several nights to put out the same amount of water.

Rated 1 out of 5 by SickInNovaScotia from Noisy and no moisture I bought this because it was a recommended brand. I right away noticed how loud it is. It's not whisper quiet. I also don't think much comes out in terms of moisture. I hang my head over and it just feels dry. My room is so dry right now. It's done nothing. We have had it a year and I simply thought it was just me but I see it's just not a good unit. Cleaning the base is easy but the top is impossible to clean completely and safely. I'm disappointed and have lost faith in the brand as a whole.

Rated 3 out of 5 by ICIC from It works well but the noise... I am using it in medium sized room and it works well as a humidifier. I am using distilled water so I don't have to deal with cleaning issues. I have it connected to a timer so it turns on for 1.5 hours and then off for 1/2 hours. I like its reservoir size and that I don't have to deal with a filter. Although it is much cheaper than those ultrasonic humidifiers, this impeller humidifier is very loud and that is why I am giving 3 stars instead of 4. I got this one during a sale and noise is not an issue for me so I am keeping the product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by up north is home from We have 2 of these and love them! Bought 1 a year ago and another a month ago. With a split level house, one is in the upstairs bedroom, the other in the downstairs family room in the driest time of winter. Keeps the house humidity at around 35% even when the weather is -19 degrees outside, with the furnace and the AprilAire running fulltime. There is some white noise when running these, we tune it out. Easy to refill, cleaning as per instructions. Definitely more comfortable indoors with these running. We have great tap water, if not use filtered water of some sort.

Rated 1 out of 5 by dissatisfied user from cheap quality 1. Only raised humidity by 2% max 2. Too big to carry to sink to fill up, too big for table as it takes up lots of space 3. Made from cheap plastic that cracked over time 4. Difficult to get lid/impeller off to fill tank 5. Lid has to be aligned to notch for humidifier to work. With notch inside the tank and invisible, pretty much impossible to do 6. Quite noisy
