Rated 2 out of 5 by dough ma from Chevrolet as apposed to a Cadillac I bought this about a month ago, I have attempted to use it 4 times now, i could not get stiff peaks on my egg whites no matter what i tried, cake batter well, that i had to constantly stop to scrape the sides and bottom, and as for dough , which was my maid reason for the purchase, well that is useless. i dont know who designed these dough hooks but they do absolutely nothing , it mixed my dough for 20 mins and i finally had to scrape it out into another bowl and mix it by hand. I make bread for my family but with pain issues it would be so much easier with a good product , which i thought i was getting with a mixmaster.

Rated 2 out of 5 by MP1375 from Disappointed Would have appreciated speed markings on power dial (like previous models). Also, a detachable power cord (like previous models) would make cleaning and storage more practical. In the same vein, an easily removable turntable would make cleaning of the base far easier. The risk attachments are much appreciated, but their use is not mentioned in the accompanying instructions. Finally, chrome finish on the power unit and base seems fragile (likely because the finish is applied to plastic) and some bubbles have already appeared.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Bevy21 from Looks can be deceiving I purchased this stand mixer almost a month ago, and I have attempted to use it, and like it, since. This is not a good product. The beaters do not mix the contents well; they mostly fling it to the side of the bowl where it stays. I constantly have to scrape the batter off the side and move it into the path of the beaters... which then fling it back....It does not mix together well, regardless of which of the 12 settings I use. As you cannot use the mixer without it in a stationary position, I am having to mix a lot by hand. I also found the motor to get quite warm when trying to mix. Very disappointed in this product. As well, I have emailed, the company, with no response received.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Anne Xiong from second time of using it, it stop working Bought a long time ago, but rarely use it. The first time works fine, but second time it stop right in the middle of mixing the dough. When I googled it, some say it might blow the motor. I have to get another one now. I am not getting this one for sure!

Rated 4 out of 5 by mistiblu from Great brand Our family has used Mixmasters for over 50 years. I love the offset bowl allowing scraping while its running and the 2nd bowl. I was given another brand of mixer (very expensive heavy metal one if you get my meaning) for Christmas last year and I grew to hate it so much because I had to constantly stop it and lift the head to scrape down the sides and how heavy it was. What a time waster! As soon as I saw the mixmaster on sale, I just had to get another one since I passed on my old one to my daughter in law. There have been a few design changes with this one that i'm not completely crazy about - the way you have to lock on the bowl and the position of the button you have to push to lift the head (kind of awkward). Lifting the head is also very stiff (I added a bit of oil to the pin and it helped). The plastic construction has gotten a lot flimsier as well. My mother's is still running after at least 35 years and my old one is still going strong after about 20 years. I just hope this one has a long life as well!

Rated 1 out of 5 by Mbrigid from Do not buy this. I have an old sunbeam over 30 years old which I love . I bought the Mixmaster Stand Mixer to have at the condo. It is terrible . Tonight I gave up on it and handbeat my cake mixture. The slower levels are too fast and it flings the mix to the edges and doesn't mix it. I watched the egg swirl around until I gave up waiting for it to mix.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Stuartb__ from Absolutely useless Bought as a stand mixer for dough at a reasonable price. This thing couldn't mix dough of any kind to save its life. It's in the trash. Kitchen aid for me from now on.
