Awesome heating pad
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have constant back pain and I am always trying to find something to help alleviate the pain. When I received the Sunbeam XXL Microplush heating pad, I was hopeful it would help ease the pain. The heating pad comes with 4 heat settings and has a 2 hour automatic shut off feature. The pad itself is very soft and a lot bigger than the standard heating pads. It heats up fast and really helps keep my back pain in check. I have been using it every night.

Very disappointed ...
Purchased this heating pad from Canadian Tire in Perth, Ontario. Within three weeks, it quit working. Canadian Tire advised that Sunbeam is the only company that does not allow them to coordinate returns. I was sent a return label but the heating pad had to be dropped off at a Purolator Outlet. We live two hours from the closest Purolator Outlet. After several phone calls, I was advised to return the heating pod via Canada Post at my own expense $19.99 and I would receive the replacement within approximately ten days. Six weeks later and I am still waiting. The funny thing is that I chose Sunbeam because I have my mother's 30-year-old small basic dry heating pad that still works even though the plastic cover is cracked with age. Sunbeam's quality and service have certainly slipped.

Doesn't Stay Connected
I have quite a bit of experience with Sunbeam heating pads and have always chosen them first. This XXL was given as a gift 10 days ago. The heat is wonderful and very soothing. HOWEVER, the cord connection into the pad does not have the outer pincers to hold on, as other pads I've bought do. (See photos comparing the two.) The cord disconnects from the pad with very little movement, leaving me wondering why the heat has stopped long before the 2-hour auto shut off. I have never had this problem with the other size pads. I will return it today.

Great when works! Breaks quickly
It's very hard to rate this product. I loved it for the time that it worked. It's the biggest one I've seen, it actually gets hot enough, the cover doesn't slip off easily, it has a long cord, and 4 heat settings. HOWEVER, it lasted only a year. Based on other reviews, that's longer than many, but that is not a reasonable life span. I used it intermittently for that year (pain and season dependent), so while I didn't use it all the time for that year, when I did use it I'd use it many days in a row for a few hours at a time. Everything is great about it except its longevity.

Love the size!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the size!! I have an older heating pad that’s a whole lot smaller than this one. Love the four heat settings and it’s so soft and plush. I also like the way it folds up. So far no negatives. It’s actually a pretty heating pad. Very nice!

Stopped working
I bought this a few hours ago, used it and the auto shut off went on after 2 hours. I have waited well over an hour and it wont turn back on. I have unplugged and tried different outlets still nothing.

Nice, but:
I bought this a week ago and the heat is nice. Unfortunately the way the auto-off works, I can’t use it again for another half hour at least. I’ve tried unplugging it and waiting, shutting off the power strip it’s on for a while, it’s rather disappointing because it’s a nice, big heating pad with good heat and soft fabric.

Great when it actually works
I’m on about my 6-7th xxl heating pad. The second last one the controller didn’t even last a week, the last one lasted only a week as well. The longest one has ever lasted for me is about three months. I have chronic back pain and need heat to help me. I only kept buying them because I liked the way they work when they do work. I am beyond frustrated with this product and can’t understand why there are good reviews because the product is absolute junk. I want my money back.

Love this size and the temp it reaches but…
I’m on my 4th xxl heating pad. I didn’t know that there was a warranty or I would have saved myself some money. I’ve had this one less than a month and I got the flashing red light of death. Plugging, unplugging etc to reset has done nothing. The max time I’ve gotten out of one is just over a year and the least would be just under a month. I need it for chronic pain issues so unfortunately I’m sure I’ll be dealing with faulty heating pads on a regular basis with my luck 😅

Disappointed!
We have now bought 2 of these heating pads. The 1st one we returned because it stopped heating up after about a month. We just thought it was defective. Replaced it with another one …after a couple of months it also has stopped working. The heat light starts flashing and won’t heat up same thing that happened to the 1st one.. We bought it off Amazon and because we’ve had it for 2 months we cannot return it. So disappointed in this heating pad!

Plush Heating Pad

Uniquely it has a moist heat option.
I really like this larger size because it gives better coverage
Its very plush fabric is luxurious compared to the old heating pads.
It has loops on it to roll up for compact storage.

My back and buns were heated up in no time at all. After a long day at work as a nurse I look forward to my achy muscles getting relaxed from the heat of this xl heating pad that covers multiple areas at one time.

Love the Size and Amount of Heat it Puts out

It covers my whole back and gives so much evenly distributed heat it is feels so good to lay on it to relive the pain in my back from a hard work day. The feel of the fabric is very soft and very comfortable to the touch. The controls are easy to use and the ability to control the heat is easy to do.

Very easy to use

If you are buying for a senior size will matter if the pad shifts on them. this is large enough that shifting will still cover the area they want well. I like the various setting and the shutoff after 2 hours will be great at night! nice an compact too!!

AMAZING

Not only does it cover your entire back, but it is flexible enough to wrap around your leg. I use this product every day! Perfect for someone with health issues! A GREAT product!

Love the size
Recently purchased and use to warm up my sheets, but not the foot area. I also like that it rolls for storage. I don’t however understand the setting options and can’t find any information about them - there are warm, low, medium, and high. Wouldn’t warm be the same as either low or medium? Am I missing something?

Heating pad that everyone must have.

Soft and comfortable

It is also a great blue color. Multiple settings for just the right temp. Works so well. Very satisfied with this product.

Perfect size!

I have bought 2 within a six month period from canadian tire and both have stopped working I use to like sunbeam because their products would last but this is just disappointing because can't nt afford to purchase one once again and its something that I need.

good quality

Not worth it.
I received this as an Xmas gift. Have used it maybe 4 times. As per all the other 1 star reviews it stops working. Controller just blinks red. Have followed all instructions to unplug etc with no luck. Seems to be a common problem.
